This clinic follows all recommendations set forth by the Province of British Columbia, WorkSafe BC, and the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC).
Clinic Health & Safety Plan to Prevent Transmission of Communicable Diseases
Pre- Screening:
Any patient who develops symptoms (for example, fever and/or chills, recent onset of coughing, diarrhea) prior to their appointment time are asked to call or text the clinic immediately to reschedule their appointment.
Entering the Clinic:
Masks are no longer mandatory in the clinic and while in all common spaces. Patients are asked to advise their acupuncturist if they would prefer masks be worn during their appointment.
While in the Clinic:
Traffic in the common areas (entry area and hallways) will be kept to a minimum by asking patients to arrive on time for their appointments as opposed to early. Only one person is allowed in the clinic at a time. If possible, please come alone to your appointment (with the exception of a parent coming with a child or a caregiver coming with their person).
There is no access to washroom facilities at the clinic except in the case of emergency. I ask you to please plan accordingly prior to your arrival at the clinic.
While in the Treatment Room:
When possible a distance of 2 meters will be kept between the patient and the practitioner (for example when entering/exiting the clinic and during the intake process).
Cleaning:
High touch surfaces such as door handles and chairs will be disinfected between each patient and at the end of the day.
Hand Hygiene will be preformed throughout the day in accordance to BC CDC protocols.
The treatment room will be disinfected with a Health Canada approved product after each patient according to the guidelines set forth by the Government of BC, the BC CDC, WorkSafe BC, and the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC).
A Honeywell Air purifier with a HEPA filter will be used at all times in the treatment room. If this is unavailable for any reason, the windows will be opened between patients to circulate the air in the treatment space.
Review:
This safety plan will be regularly reviewed and updated as needed to ensure the safest environment possible for everyone who enters the clinic.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this safety plan please do not hesitate to contact me.
